Institute's Participation in the First Libyan International Conference on Chemical and Biological Safety and Security

A high-level delegation from Sebha Institute of Petroleum Technology participated in the activities of the First Libyan International Conference on Chemical and Biological Safety and Security (LICCBSS 2025). The conference, organized by Misurata University, saw wide participation from a group of academic and scientific institutions and specialized entities from all over Libya. The institute was represented by: Dr. Mahdi Mohamed Al-Makki, Board Member for Technical Affairs. Engineer Ahmed Mubarak Qilywan, Head of the Occupational Safety Department. This reflects the importance the institute attaches to this vital field. The institute's participation came to achieve several main objectives, foremost among them enhancing cooperation and exchanging experiences with leading national institutions in the fields of chemical and biological safety. The delegation also sought to learn about the latest global methods and practices in managing biological and chemical risks, which contributes to raising the institute’s efficiency and readiness. This participation is part of Sebha Institute of Petroleum Technology's commitment to representing the institute in national scientific events, emphasizing its active role in promoting and supporting the culture of occupational safety at both the academic and practical levels, which serves the oil sector and Libyan society as a whole.
